If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.
These Terms and Conditions apply to all visitors, users, and customers of MN Affordable Locksmith LLC, a locksmith company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, operating under standard Minnesota business registration.

MN Affordable Locksmith LLC provides the following categories of locksmith services:

- Residential Locksmith Services — house lockouts, lock installation, lock rekeying, deadbolt installation, lock repair
- Commercial Locksmith Services — office lockouts, master key systems, access control installation, commercial rekeying, panic bar installation, high-security lock upgrades
2.1 Service Availability
All services are subject to technician availability and geographic coverage. We make every reasonable effort to respond to service requests across our stated service area, but cannot guarantee response availability in all locations at all times, particularly during periods of extreme weather, high demand, or other exceptional circumstances.
2.2 Right to Decline Service
MN Affordable Locksmith reserves the right to decline, cancel, or discontinue service at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to safety concerns, inability to verify ownership or authorization, suspected fraudulent intent, aggressive or unsafe customer behavior, or situations that fall outside our technical capabilities.
2.3 Service Limitations
Some vehicle makes, models, and years, as well as certain high-security commercial lock systems, may require manufacturer-specific software or hardware that is not available through our mobile service. In these cases, we will inform you before beginning any work and, where possible, suggest an alternative solution. We do not perform services we are not equipped to complete properly.
3. Pricing, Estimates, and Payment
3.1 Upfront Pricing
MN Affordable Locksmith provides a price estimate before dispatching any technician. This estimate is based on the information you provide when you call — your location, the type of property or vehicle, and the service required. We are committed to transparent pricing and do not change the quoted price upon arrival without your prior knowledge and agreement.
3.2 On-Site Price Confirmation
Upon arrival, the technician will assess the situation and confirm the final price before beginning any work. If the actual situation differs materially from what was described over the phone — for example, a different vehicle type, additional locks, or a more complex lock system than described — the technician may provide a revised estimate. You are not obligated to proceed with the service if you do not agree to the revised price.
3.3 Additional Charges
Additional charges may apply in the following circumstances:
- After-hours service calls (nights, weekends, and holidays) may carry a service surcharge, which will be communicated before dispatch
- Travel fees may apply for service locations beyond our standard coverage area, and will be disclosed before dispatch
- Hardware costs — replacement locks, keys, cylinders, deadbolts, or other materials — are charged separately from labor and will be disclosed as part of the estimate
- If a job requires additional time or materials not anticipated in the original scope, the technician will inform you and obtain your agreement before proceeding
3.4 Payment Methods
We accept the following forms of payment: major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, and cash. Payment is due upon completion of service. We do not accept personal checks.
3.5 Non-Payment
Failure to pay for services rendered may result in referral to a collections agency and/or legal action. MN Affordable Locksmith reserves all rights available under Minnesota law with respect to collection of unpaid debts for services rendered.
3.6 No-Obligation Estimates
Requesting a phone estimate does not constitute a binding agreement or obligation to proceed with service. You are free to decline service at any point before the technician begins work without incurring any charge.
4.Proof of Ownership and Authorization
4.1 Identity Verification Requirement
For the safety and security of all parties, MN Affordable Locksmith requires customers to provide proof of identity and authorization before performing any service that involves accessing a locked property or vehicle. This is a non-negotiable requirement and applies to all service types.
4.2 Acceptable Documentation
Acceptable forms of identification and proof of authorization include:
- For residential lockouts: a valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, or passport) matching the address of the property, or a current lease agreement or utility bill in your name
- For automotive lockouts: a valid government-issued photo ID and current vehicle registration or title in your name, or documented authorization from the registered owner
- For commercial lockouts: a valid government-issued photo ID and verifiable evidence of your role at the business (business card, employment ID, lease agreement, or authorization from the property owner)
4.3 Right to Refuse Without Verification
MN Affordable Locksmith will not perform any lockout service if the requesting person cannot provide satisfactory proof of identity and authorization. If documentation cannot be provided, the technician will decline to proceed and no charge will be applied. This policy exists to protect property owners, vehicle owners, and the public from unauthorized access.
4.4 Customer Responsibility for Accuracy
By requesting service, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to access the property or vehicle in question and that the information you have provided to us is accurate. Providing false information to obtain locksmith services may constitute a crime under Minnesota law. MN Affordable Locksmith will cooperate fully with law enforcement in any investigation involving services obtained through misrepresentation.
5. Limitation of Liability
5.1 General Limitation
MN Affordable Locksmith LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services or website, including but not limited to loss of business, loss of data, property damage beyond the direct scope of the service performed, or personal injury unrelated to our technician’s direct actions.
5.2 Direct Liability Cap
In the event of damage directly caused by a MN Affordable Locksmith technician during the performance of a service, our liability is limited to the cost of repairing or replacing the specific item damaged, up to a maximum of the total amount paid for the service in question. This limitation does not apply in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
5.3 Pre-Existing Damage
MN Affordable Locksmith is not responsible for pre-existing damage to locks, doors, door frames, vehicles, or other property that was present before our technician arrived. Our technicians will note and communicate any pre-existing damage before beginning work. It is the customer’s responsibility to disclose any known pre-existing damage or fragile conditions before service begins.
5.4 Drilling and Destructive Entry
Non-destructive entry methods are used in the vast majority of service calls. In rare cases where non-destructive entry is not possible — due to the type or condition of the lock, damage to the keyway, or other circumstances — destructive entry (drilling) may be required. The technician will explain this to you and obtain your consent before proceeding. MN Affordable Locksmith is not liable for damage to the lock or door hardware that results from drilling authorized by the customer.
5.5 Third-Party Property
If service is requested on property that is not owned by the requesting party (for example, a landlord calling for a tenant’s unit, or an employer calling for an employee’s vehicle), the requesting party assumes full responsibility for ensuring that proper authorization exists and indemnifies MN Affordable Locksmith against any claims arising from unauthorized access.
5.6 Emergency Situations
In situations involving an immediate threat to safety — such as a child or animal locked in a vehicle in dangerous conditions — MN Affordable Locksmith technicians may exercise professional judgment in taking the most expedient action available. In all such cases, calling 911 is strongly recommended first. We are not liable for property damage resulting from emergency entry taken to prevent serious harm when 911 has been contacted and when the action was taken in good faith.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
6.1 Customer Cancellation
You may cancel a service request at any time before the technician arrives at your location without incurring any charge. Once a technician has arrived and begun assessing the situation, a service call fee may be applied to cover the technician’s time and travel, even if you ultimately decide not to proceed with the service. This fee will be communicated to you if it applies.
6.2 Cancellation After Work Begins
If you request cancellation after the technician has begun work, you will be responsible for payment for the portion of the service completed up to the point of cancellation, plus any materials used or ordered.
6.3 MN Affordable Locksmith Cancellation
MN Affordable Locksmith reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a service appointment due to technician unavailability, safety concerns, severe weather, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, you will be notified as soon as possible and no charge will be applied.
7. Workmanship and Warranty
7.1 Workmanship Guarantee
MN Affordable Locksmith stands behind the quality of our work. If a service we performed does not function correctly due to a workmanship error, contact us within 30 days of the original service and we will return to assess and correct the issue at no additional labor charge, subject to the terms below.
7.2 Warranty Exclusions
Our workmanship warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, tampering, or attempted DIY repair after our service was completed
- Normal wear and tear on locks, cylinders, or hardware
- Issues arising from pre-existing damage that was present before our service
- Hardware or parts not supplied by MN Affordable Locksmith
- Issues arising from incorrect information provided by the customer at the time of service
7.3 Hardware Warranty
Replacement hardware (locks, deadbolts, cylinders, key blanks) supplied by MN Affordable Locksmith carries the manufacturer’s standard warranty. We do not extend additional warranty coverage on third-party hardware beyond what the manufacturer provides.
8. Website Use and Intellectual Property
8.1 Acceptable Use
